So my first week of school at CFI “Central Florida Institute” is complete. It wasn’t so bad, I have three classes broken down into a block type schedule. Anatomy in the afternoon, math on mon, wed, and fri; and ACLS on tues and thurs. Math sucks as always but I’m starting to get the hang of it again, I may not be the best but I soon will have a good grasp of it again. ACLS “Advanced cardiac life support” is cool because once this class is done I’ll be able to work on a crash cart at a hospital.
The fist day of class I realized I didn’t know anyone there, I’m the only one from my last class in this class, I guess all the others that wanted to go on made it into the class before now. Well I guess now I have more ambition to do my class work instead of chitchat. Every one seems pretty cool and there looks like the major problems of last class wont be the major problems of this class. However, this is only the first week of class.
Monday is my pre-op visit to the doctors. Then Friday is the day; I am going under the knife. It sucks I have to miss a day of class, I hope it is the only day I have to miss. Form there, I believe I have six weeks in a sling and then a while of rehab, though the sling time may be shorter but I’m not sure. I just hope this is the last time I have to go under any knife.
Oh yeah today is my twelfth day smoke free. I haven’t even been using blow pops to make up for my idle hands. Occasionally I reach for where my used to be. Like when I get into the car after school; I reach for them but they aren’t there and then I smile because I know I don’t need them. In fact, I never needed them I just thought I did. So to any one wanting to quit smoking and have tried other methods to quit you may want to try Chantix. Chantix has really worked for me. The pill has also worked for a few of my friends that wanted to quit. Nevertheless, quitting takes a little will power on your part too. Because there have been a few time that I could have picked up a smoke, thank God I didn’t. If your not 100% ready to quit then you may want to wait on getting this expensive pill. I got a comment on my other blog where I talked about Chantix and the girl said the pills only worked for like two weeks then she was back to smoking, well I’m sorry to hear that. I hope you try again soon because now that I can smell smoke, that shit really stinks. I cant stand the smell of it at all. And thanks for reading.
